---------- Directory ----------

Here you will find a small list of activities and crafts that you can use with almost any occasion. Instead of putting this under many catagories I thought it would be better to give these their very own page.I have provided a general template for each activity and how they can be modifies.

Mother May I

: 4 and Up

Each child must ask permission to take different sizes and types of steps to reach the mommy. the first child to reach wins and is mommy next. This game can be changed so instead of "Mommy" you can have Santa, Easter Bunny, Mr Valentine etc.

Fishing

: 4 and up
Mess: Medium
Material: Wooden spoon, yarn, construction paper, paper clips, crayons, scissors and small magnet.
Instructions: Cut out different sizes and colors of fish. On each on put a number from 1 to 20. Put a paper clip on each on and spread them on the floor. Attach a three foot piece of yarn to the end of the wooden spoon and a small magnet to the other end. A fridge magnet should work. Have your child fish for different sizes, colors and numbers. THis game can be changed by cutting different shapes so instead of fish you can cut valentines, four leaf clovers, ghost shapes, etc.

Hot or Cold
Age
: 3 and Up
Mess: Low
Material
: Treats or Gifts
Instructions: Explain to your child what Hot or Cold refers to. Then hide a special something in a room and have your child try to find it by telling them hot or cold. For older kids you can blind fold them. This works great for valentines, easter chocolates, or just to give them a special treat.

Duck Duck Goose
Ages
: 3 and Up
Mess: Low
Material: None
Instructions:This classical kids favorite needs to be played with at least four or five people minimum. Have everyone sit in a circle and one person be it. They walk around the outside tapping on everyone's head saying whether the person is a duck or goose. If someone is called a goose they need to get up as fast as possible and try to catch the person who is it. They have to run around the group. If the person is caught they remain it, if not then the new person becomes it. Instead of duck duck goose you can use santa -santa - elf, or ghost - ghost- goblin, or pot of gold - pot of gold - leprechaun. The combinations are endless.

What Time is It Mister
Age
: 5 and Up
Mess: Low
Material: None
Instructions: Similar to Mother May I, have your children line up against a wall on one side and you on the other. . The children yell, “What time is it Mister?” Mister answers “1 o'clock” and the children all take one step toward Mister. The children yell again, “What time is it Mister?” and Mister answers (fill in the blank) o'clock, and the children all take same number of step toward Mister. This continues until all the children are very close to Mister, then Mister will answer it is midnight and chases the children back to the fence or wall that they started at. The first person Mister touches will be the new Mister. The variation on this is in the name of Mister. You can change it to Santa, Easter Bunny, Leprechaun or whatever you want.

Search for Clues

On each piece of paper write down a clue as to where the next clue will be hidden. Do this for all clues and have the last one lead to a treat or gift. This is a great way to make giving a gift a little exciting.
